SPC or The Student Price Card is a loyalty program that is designed primarily for post-secondary students. It gives an opportunity for students to save money by providing discounts at various restaurants and retail stores across the country.
The good thing about SPC is its proficiency to offer these discounts not only at conventional stores but also in online stores as well.

The first method is to purchase an SPC card directly from the SPC Website at a cost of $10 per year. As long as you use the card frequently, the cost of the purchase would not be a problem as it should pay for itself in no time. (It’s just $10 anyways)
The second method; become a BMO customer. As a BMO customer, you get to earn an SPC card free of charge. Before you get the SPC card, you still need to open a BMO student chequing account, which luckily enough is also free.

SPC won’t be popular among students if they have nothing to offer.
Lots of remarkable discounts are available in more than 400 retail stores including Forever21, Urban Outfitters, Burger King, Taco Bell, and other local shops in Canada. These discounts help students find ways to save money on textbooks, gym memberships, makeup, eating, and even healthcare.

The constant aggregation of savings on all purchases made teaches students how small savings can sum up and be used for other future purchases. This awareness helps students to foster healthy financial habits and techniques that can be used in the future when handling financial intricacies such as tax filings.

Can SPC Card Memberships be shared with friends and family?
The answer is NO!
SPC Card Memberships cannot be shared.
Each individual must have an SPC Membership to qualify for such discounts.
In the case where a parent is making a purchase, the student must present the SPC Card before discounts can apply. Also, discounts only apply to student items that are eligible for a discount.
In situations where misuse of memberships occur, all offers and discounts can be a decline at the sole discretion of the SPC partner.
Conclusion
Is the SPC Card right for you?
My review of the SPC card is positive. After all, the card costs only $10 per year and you definitely get a lot more for the price offered. If you are a Canadian student, you must go get one or order it online. The Pros and more and there are hardly any cons here.
The number of stores offering SPC Discounts is also huge (Like 400+ premium stores).
Also, The deals, bonuses, and discounts available for students to benefit from for just $10 a year are enormous.
